Admissions Process

Step 1:  Visit and Tour

 

 

Step 2:  Schedule a Shadow Day (Optional)

 

  • Scheduled after the school visit and tour

  • Students will have the opportunity to meet individually with our principal

  • Students will also have the opportunity to meet with the teacher of their corresponding grade-level

 

Step 3:  Complete the Application Packet and submit Application Fee

 

  • The following documentation will also be needed...

    • Child's original birth certificate

    • Copy of baptismal certificate (if applicable)

    • Your child's most recent report cards and standardized test scores

    • 504/IEP (if applicable)

 

  • Applications available in our main office and here:

  • Application Fee:

    • $50/per child February 2nd-28th, 2019

    • $150/per child after February 28th, 2019

 

Step 4:  Admission Status Determined

 

  • Acceptance letters are mailed/emailed

Step 5: Applying for Scholarship (if needed)

New Student Applications

St. Nicholas of Tolentine School has an on-going registration process, families may apply for admission at any point during the school year by filling out the New Student Application and submitting the designated fees, birth certificate, and sacramental records. For those joining us for grades Preschool - 8, a records request form will need to be completed as well. 

State of Illinois Health Requirements

PHYSICAL - An exam is required for students entering Preschool, Kindergarten, 6th Grade and all students entering St. Nicholas of Tolentine School for the first time.

DENTAL - All students entering Kindergarten, 2nd Grade and 6th Grade.

VISION - An exam by an optometrist or physician who provides complete eye care is required for students entering Kindergarten and all students entering St. Nicholas of Tolentine School for the first time.

Age Requirements

Preschool – A child entering preschool must be three and/or four years of age on or before September 1st of that year.

Kindergarten – A child entering kindergarten must be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of that year.
